A measured voice for an essential industry.
The Sodium Sulphate Producers Association (SSPA) is a non-profit sector group within Cefic, founded in 1999. We bring together Europe's principal producers of sodium sulphate to promote responsible practice, inform the value chain, and engage constructively with European institutions.
What we do.
SSPA is a forum for technical, regulatory and market questions that affect the sodium sulphate sector — and a single, credible point of contact for customers, regulators and stakeholders.
- Best practice
Promote safety and environmental best practice in the production, transport and use of sodium sulphate.
- Representation
Represent the industry's interests at European and international level through proper regulatory channels.
- Institutional dialogue
Cooperate with the European Commission and other authorities as a source of sector expertise.
- Sector intelligence
Collect statistics, monitor end-use markets and assess the impact of substitutes and technical change.
- Public information
Engage in programmes that build informed understanding of the industry and its responsibilities.
Members.
SSPA membership is open to Cefic members producing and marketing sodium sulphate at industrial scale in countries where Cefic is active. Members supply reliably from European sites, with the flexibility, short delivery distances and low transport CO₂ that local production enables.
